Growth doesn’t come from more content.
It comes from better storytelling.

Little Sequoia was founded on a simple belief that organizations doing meaningful work deserve communications that match their impact. We bring nearly 20 years of senior-level experience to every engagement, and we care deeply about every client's story — because the work you do matters, and how you talk about it should too.

Who we are

With nearly 20 years of experience across global brands, higher education, nonprofits, and tech platforms, Jessica Yurasek founded Little Sequoia to bring senior-level communications strategy and storytelling to organizations that are serious about growth.

She has led messaging, content strategy, storytelling, and audience growth initiatives for organizations including Twitter, University of Michigan, University of Southern California, Danone North America, PepsiCo Recycling, Susan G. Komen, United Ways of California, and Amazon Watch.

As the voice behind @TwitterVideo (now @XCreators), Jessica built one of Twitter's most visible creator communities from scratch — growing the account from 30,000 to over 15 million followers over three and a half years. The work required daily community management, a long-term content strategy, and a deep understanding of short-form video content and creator culture.

At the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, she served as Senior Communications Director, leading a full modernization of the organization's content and communications ecosystem. Under her direction, a 131-year-old print publication was redesigned for the digital era, social engagement grew by more than 16% year-over-year, and a celebrity influencer video series she created and directed generated 2.8 million impressions — all for a global alumni community of 680,000+.

She has hired, built, and coached creative teams, advised C-suite executives, and worked inside complex organizations where trust, clarity, and mission are non-negotiable.

Jessica earned her BFA from the University of Michigan and her MA from the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She has taught social media strategy at Stanford University.

She lives in Michigan, travels whenever she can, and is a photographer and writer. She's most recently learning how to knit.
